Unlike most big car shows, JAE isn't run by a large events company, or media house. It's organised each year by a team of dedicated Car Enthusiasts.
The event was first established in the 90's, but has since grown to become one of the best-loved car shows in the UK. In that time, it has changed venues (we've been to Newark Showground, Wicksteed Park, East of England Arena, Mersea Island and others) before settling in at the Royal Norfolk Showground.
Below is a bit of info about the JAE management team. If you have any questions, please drop us a message!
Adrian Operations and H&S.
Fave Japanese Car: NSX
First JAE Experience: In 2014, Ade visited JAE with partner Ali who had been asked to assist with the admin during the weekend. A massive F1 fan and lifelong petrolhead, Ade admits that his love of automotive isn't just restricted to Japanese cars, and is much keener on performance than just looks!
Ali Marketing & Admin, makes rubbish tea.
Fave Japanese Car: R33 Skyline GTST.
First JAE experience: Ali first visited JAE in 2004...with a Citroen! At the time, Ali's daily car was a Nissan S14A, but was working with her friend from the Ministry of Sound to promote the 'Big Sounds' competition. The following year, Ali had replaced the S14A with an R33 Skyline drift car and was doing attending most Japanese car events around the UK. She even featured in a documentary about drifting back in 2006. Ali then took time out to focus on her career in Automotive Marketing and raise her three children. Ali and Adrian have three children: Morgan, Silvia and Jensen.
