FAQ about JAE
Here's the answers to the most common questions about JAE, but if you have any questions that aren't covered below, please email email@example.com
Can clubs access the site on Thursday? YES! Clubs that have an allocated plot space will be able to arrive after 4pm on Thursday to set up a club stand space. There is a charge of £5 per Thursday pass to cover the cost of on-site medics and security for the Thursday evening. Only a limited number of passes are available. Each club plot that is purchased will be sent an email asking them to confirm the number of Thursday passes required with an online invoice to allow checkout. Thursday passes will not be available to purchase on the website.
Do children need a ticket? Kids under 14 can come along to JAE completely Free of Charge for the whole weekend as long as they are accompanied by an adult. They do not require an advance ticket. Young children can be given a wrist band with parent/guardian contact details in case they get lost whilst on site. These are available from either security or the JAE admin office.
I have additional needs and require a carer with me. We want to make sure that EVERYBODY gets the best experience whilst at JAE. Guests who have the following documentation are entitled to one free carer ticket and a second carer at half price. However, the guest with the disability and any further members of their party will pay full price. Please email a copy of the relevant paperwork to firstname.lastname@example.org to request your tickets.
- Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance award letter (dated within the last 12 months).
- Personal Independence Payment letter (dated within the last 12 months).
- A current and valid Blue Badge.
- Letter from GP or consultant (dated within the last 12 months) confirming the need for a full time carer. This does not need to be a letter of diagnosis.
Can we have the time of events and map with locations? Showguides are free for everyone at JAE. They are available on the gate and in the admin office. Please come and grab some for your club stand.
Can I bring my non-Japanese car into the show? JAE does allow non-Japanese vehicles into the show, but we don't want our JAPANESE car show to have lots of non-Japanese cars or vans on site. Therefore, if you need to bring a non-Japanese vehicle on site (such as to do an equipment drop off etc) we will require a deposit to be paid. Simply pay the deposit to security, who will hold the money in an envelope marked with your vehicle registration. When you return your vehicle back to the regular carpark within the time allocated, you will be given your deposit back. The deposit amount is £50 per vehicle. There are some exceptions to the non-Japanese vehicle rule. These are:
- Adapted vehicles for disabled visitors
- Motorhomes & Camper vans, but they must be professionally built conversions, not adapted vans.
Why can’t I park my car on the stand with a day ticket? With the volume of cars at the show, we need to minimise unnecessary vehicle movement as much as possible. This year, we will be offering a special 'day visitor' car park within the showground, where day-ticket holders can display their vehicles up until 10pm.
