Dogs Die in Hot Cars
Below is our policy with regards to dogs that are left unaccompanied in a locked vehicle. If you are bringing a dog to JAE please make sure you read this information carefully.
We do not allow dogs to be left unaccompanied in hot cars. If we see a dog in a locked vehicle at JAE during hot weather, we will do the following:
- Security will announce via PA/SMS broadcast that the owners of the vehicle must return to their vehicle immediately.
- If the owner has not arrived at the vehicle with 5 minutes, we will call the Police and enter the vehicle by whatever means are judged to be most appropriate. This could mean a broken window.
- If the dog is already in what is considered to be a distressed or unconscious state, we will not wait the full 5 minutes for the return of the owner to the vehicle, and we will seek to enter the vehicle immediately.
Please note: Your attendance at JAE with a dog means that you understand the above terms and that neither the Norfolk Showground or Ichiban Events Ltd, or their staff or servants, can be held liable for any damage that is caused to vehicles as a result of undertaking the above.
If you have any questions regarding this, please email email@example.com
